Cyber Security Consultant

As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will

Deliver CHECK penetration testing engagements.

Deliver non-CHECK penetration testing engagements.

Scope work as part of pre-sales.

Provide service delivery through reporting, quality assurance and technical guidance.

Working independently on-site for clients, within the Salus Cyber office and at home (if desired).

Maintain knowledge of current penetration testing tools, techniques, and processes, alongside researching new and notable vulnerabilities.

Understand relevant national and international policies and standards as well as wider cyber trends in the industry.

Assist in the creation of technical articles and blog posts for marketing.

Assist in the creation of training material, methodologies, tooling, and operational guidance for consumption by the wider team.

Provide penetration testing of all kinds - Infrastructure, Web and Mobile Applications, Cloud Environments, Active Directory etc.

Give guidance to new and developing team members with varying levels of skill and experience, ensuring that the team works collaboratively.

Undertake any other duties deemed appropriate by management.

What we look for

Computer Networking and Web Services.

Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.

Knowledge of testing frameworks such as OWASP'

Knowledge and experience with a range of penetration testing tools.

Knowledge of cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Familiarity with coding and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, and JavaScript.

Knowledge of Cyber Security standards and policies such as ISO 27001, CIS, and PCI DSS.

Ability to analyse and interpret data and present findings to clients.

Effective communication, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
